The 2025 Grammys are in full swing in Los Angeles, despite talk of the ceremony being postponed in the wake of the deadly wildfires that tore through the city in January.
Trevor Noah is hosting for the fifth time, while stars like Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, John Legend, Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga have graced the stage with performances.

Chappell Roan’s on-stage wardrobe malfunction
Chappell Roan won the Best New Artist award and took to the stage wearing her fourth outfit of the evening, a grey dress with a white princess hat.
As she accepted her trophy and tried to juggle it with her speech, which was written in a small journal, her headpiece began to tremble.
”My hat’s gonna fall,” she said mid-way through her speech, “And it’s gonna be – OK.”
As predicted, the Pink Pony Club singer’s tall pointed hat toppled off her head right there on stage. Watch the video below.
Not one to be put out by a minor wardrobe malfunction, she continued with her speech after losing the hat and demanded that the music industry do better by its developing artists.
Benson Boone’s shocking costume change
He’s known for his breakout hit Beautiful Things but Benson Boone had fans talking for a whole different reason at the Grammys.
First he whipped a microphone out of his suit in the middle of the crowd to start singing the song, then he performed a shock costume change with the help of a few friends.

Model Heidi Klum and TV host Nikki Glaser tore his suit jacket away to reveal the top half of an icy blue jumpsuit underneath.
Boone then tore away his trousers to reveal the rest of his outfit before running onstage, mounting the grand piano, and flipping off it to belt out the chorus.
Beyoncé snags historic Best Country Album win
Beyoncé made history today as she became the first Black woman to win a country Grammy in more than 50 years – and she did it twice.
The Texas Hold’em singer looked shocked as she headed to the stage to collect the award for Best Country Album for her record Cowboy Carter, which she accepted from Taylor Swift.

Earlier in the night, she also snagged the award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for II Most Wanted, which features Miley Cyrus.
That win was announced during the Premiere Ceremony, which isn’t televised.
The last time a Black woman won in a country category happened last in 1974, when The Pointer Sisters won an award for their song Fairytale.
‘Someone’s getting fired’: Cheeky quip in Sabrina’s performance
Grammy nominee Sabrina Carpenter took to the stage for a delightful medley of some of her greatest hits, including chart-topper Espresso.
The performance began with a cheeky skit in which the singer, dressed in a sparkly black tuxedo jacket with a mini skirt, appeared to suffer several stage malfunctions.

First the spotlight couldn’t focus on her, then the stairs fell into the floor, and finally her tearaway outfit didn’t tear away as intended.
That’s when the backup singers jokingly serenading, “Someone’s getting fired!”
Minutes later, Carpenter snagged the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album for her album Short n’ Sweet.
Carpenter’s medley came after a moving rendition of Birds of a Feather by Billie Eilish and FINNEAS, who performed on a grassy set meant to represent Los Angeles’ natural landscape.
Several stars were spotted dancing in the crowd as Eilish sang, including Chrissy Teigen, Taylor Swift and The Substance actress Margaret Qualley.
Tiny detail in Taylor’s outfit that had everyone talking
Taylor Swift looked ravishing as she arrived at the 2025 Grammys in this glittering ruby-red mini dress, which paired perfectly with her signature red pout.
The Fortight singer paired the corsetted frock with dangling red earrings and strappy red pumps in what was an unexpectedly reserved look for the star.
But it was a tiny detail on her thigh that had fans obsessed.
Upon closer inspection, Swift appeared to be wearing a delicate jewelled garter on her left thigh which had a tiny charm hanging off it in the shape of the letter ‘T’.
It’s unclear exactly what the charm was a tribute to, but fans immediately started speculating on social media.
T for Taylor? T for Travis? T for Troy? (That last one is a reference to High School Musical, for those who aren’t stuck in the early 2010s like us).
Only time will tell if Swift will reveal the meaning behind it.
The red carpet arrival that had everyone speechless
Photographers were in a frenzy by the time Kanye West arrived on the Grammys red carpet with wife Bianca Censori in matching black outfits.
He was in a casual ensemble paired with black glasses while she wowed in a huge black coat, which she dropped to reveal… nothing.

Australian model Censori, 30, wore nothing but a sheer nude mesh dress underneath, with no bra or underwear.
She posed with West, 47, at her side as gasps erupted and flashes went off as photographers raced to capture the moment that stopped everyone in their tracks.
Stars reveal their Grammys preparation
Shakira was among the big names who took to social media to share how they were preparing for the annual awards.
The singer, who is set to perform at the 2025 Grammys, shared two behind the scenes photos to her Instagram story showing her practicing her moves with her backup dancers the day before the show.
Dressed in a white tracksuit and singlet, fans had to do a double take when they spotted something unusual peeking out from under her shirt.
The unusual design on Shakira’s stomach appeared to be crystals which formed an elaborate design up the centre of her stomach.
Perhaps they make up part of her costume for the big night?
She shared two more photos to her Instagram feed with the caption: “I’m coming back to the GRAMMYs stage and on my birthday! See you tomorrow night. 🎶✨ #GRAMMYs”
