Bridgerton fans got their first look at Season 4 of the hit show during a massive worldwide fan event, held in London.
Bridgerton: Seasons of Love also gave the world its first proper look at the new couple of the ton this year – Luke Thompson, who plays Benedict Bridgerton, and Australian actress Yerin Ha, who will play his love interest Sophie Baek.
The duo, who are about two-thirds of the way through filming the upcoming series, shared secrets from the set with 9honey Celebrity and speak about their chemistry on-screen.

The duo first met during the audition process via Zoom, while Ha was in Korea, but Thompson says there was an instant spark, even online.
Ha returned to Sydney put all her things into storage and flew to London, where the pair met in person for the first time at showrunner Jess Brownell’s house over Mexican food and found their chemistry.
“Part of the work is actually letting it happen, rather than sort of making something happen,” Thompson tells 9honey Celebrity at the event.
“I think the casting directors did their job very well, so we trust that and then we just go on the journey together and see what comes out.

“I think that’s all you can do, really – give yourself up to it.”
Ha, the show’s first Asian-Australian lead actress, said she feels the additional pressure of representation but tries not to think too much about it.
“I think there has to be a certain point where I kind of have to shut that off, and I just want to stay true to the story and the scripts and the scenes that I’m doing,” she tells 9honey Celebrity.
“So I’m just trying to focus on just basically telling a beautiful love story that is universal and that everyone can relate to, and they just happen to see a woman of colour playing those roles.”
Brownell tells 9honey Celebrity Ha had the “feistiness” of Sophie, which gave her an edge over the other actresses vying for the role.
“From the moment we saw Yerin, we knew that she was our Sophie,” Brownell says.
“She has a feistiness but also a vulnerability, and she brings a lot of physical comedy and humour to the role.

“There’s a modern-ness about her performance that still manages to work in Regency times.”
One thing that doesn’t work in Regency times is Ha’s Aussie accent, which she tells 9honey Celebrity has slipped out a few times during takes.
“Look, it’s happened, I won’t lie,” she laughs.
“My dialect coach has been like, ‘You just went, nauuurrr’. And I’m like, ‘Sorry’ … We make mistakes but hey, she’s there to fix it for me.”
The actress says it’s her “next mission” to sneak Tim Tams into the background on-set but says the chocolate coated biscuits have come up a lot in conversation.
“We’ve talked a lot about Vegemite and compared it to Marmite and said that Vegemite is superior. We have come to that conclusion,” she laughs.

“And we talked about Tim Tams, and they’ve all made fun of me saying ‘nauuuurr’.”
There’s no official release date as yet for the new season of Bridgerton, and with filming still underway, in their new studios just outside of London, we may yet see a Tim Tam make it into a high tea scene of the Netflix show.
