Demi Moore has opened up about her family bond with ex-husband Bruce Willis amid his ongoing health battle.
Moore was married to the Die Hard actor for 11 years from 1987 to late 2020, and shares three daughters – Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 31 – with him.
Now, in a new interview with Variety nearly 25 years on from their divorce, Moore has said her and Willis “will always be a family, just in a different form”.

“For me, there was never a question. I show up because that’s what you do for the people you love,” she told the outlet.
According to Variety, the Oscar-nominated actress visits Willis every week.
Following his divorce from Moore, Willis remarried in 2009 to model Emma Heming Willis. He shares daughters Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10 with Emma.

”I hope it’s encouraging for others to see that there’s a different way to do things.
“There is life after divorce. There is a way to co-parent with love,” she said.

In 2022, Willis’ family announced he was stepping away from acting after being diagnosed with aphasia, a language disorder.
Then in 2023, they shared Willis has received a diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia.
“Unfortunately, challenges with communication are just one symptom of the disease Bruce faces. While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis,” the statement read.

Willis’ wife Emma has shared occasional health and life updates amid Willis’ battle, including an emotional post marking their 17th anniversary in December 2024.
Willis first met his second wife in 2007.
On their 10th wedding anniversary in 2019, the renewed their wedding vows. Moore was one of the guests present at the ceremony.
Moore and Willis’ daughter Rumer recently opened up about their family “rally around each other” amid her father’s health battle.

During an appearance on Loose Women, Rumer said Willis was “doing great”.
“Because my family, we’re all so close, I think what’s so beautiful is the way that we rally around each other,” she said.
“[It’s] so lovely, because we really are a unit.”
Speaking of the family unit following her parents’ split, Rumer said: “We were a family, and we still are very much a family no matter what… I feel deep gratitude for the example they’ve set.”
