The biggest item he could find was a copper pot, which he used to feed and care for hummingbirds, a hobby he had shared with his and Montag’s children.

He also found a rubber snake, his kid’s toy shovel, and a few crystals. He finished off the haul, walking away while saying, “I’m getting emotional”.

While at the ruins of their home, Pratt took some time to reflect and take some pictures.

Posting to Instagram, he shared, “I keep telling myself possessions don’t define my existence but it’s hard to accept.”

The couple revealed earlier this week that their house went up in flames amid the devastating fires raging throughout Los Angeles.

The reality TV stars both documented the heart-wrenching experience on social media as fire engulfed areas of the US city on Tuesday (Wednesday AEDT).

As wind-driven wildfires in California forced more than 30,000 people to flee their homes on Tuesday, Pratt shared the view of the smoke and fire from the backyard of the house the couple shared with their two sons.

On Instagram, Pratt said that his parents had lost their home in the fires, writing, “My parents house gone”.

He also shared a devastating photo of the nursery in his own home ablaze, confirming the house had “burned down”.
