A video posted to the Golden Globes social media accounts sparked a major rumour that we were about to get our first official glimpse of one of young Hollywood’s hottest couples.
The short clip showed viewers the seating chart for the evening, and eagle-eyed fans were quick to point out Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner were seated next to one another.

Now, it may not seem like a major relationship announcement that the pair are sitting together, but given how private they’ve kept things over the past two years, the fact the Golden Globes were (we’re assuming) given permission by Chalamet and Jenner’s teams to include them in the clip is kind of huge.

There was plenty of speculation the couple would walk the red carpet together, but alas, we’re going to have to keep waiting for that, with the pair arriving separately.
However, during host Nikki Glaser’s opening monologue, we did catch a glimpse of the couple as the comedian roasted Chalamet’s attempt at facial hair.
The pair were sat side-by-side as the camera panned to Chalamet.
“You have the most gorgeous eyelashes … on your upper lip, such a good look,” Glaser quipped as the camera caught Jenner giggling.
“You were so good as Bob Dylan, wasn’t he incredible?

“In fact, I read your singing voice was so accurate that even Bob Dylan himself admitted it was absolutely horrible. You nailed it!”
Chalamet and Jenner have been together for almost two years now, but we’ve only ever seen them together a handful of times.
They’ve been spotted at events such as concerts and basketball games but they’ve never made an official public appearance as a couple.
Fans expected that to change today, however were let down when the couple didn’t walk the red carpet together.

Fans have been eager to find out more about the couple’s relationship since rumours first began swirling that they were together.
Just this past weekend, Chalamet attended the Palm Springs International Film Awards to receive the Chairman Award for his performance in the upcoming Bob Dylan biopic, A Complete Unknown.
It was reported Jenner was also at the event to support her beau, although they didn’t arrive together. But that didn’t stop a reporter from sneakily asking about their relationship when chatting with Chalamet on the red carpet.
“You have a lot of supporters in here, I know you also brought your partner in crime, Kylie, here, too. What’s it like to have her supporting you on a night like this?” Entertainment Tonight asked the Dune actor.
Now, Chalamet stepped into the spotlight at a very young age so he’s had plenty of media training, but never has he shown just how adept he is at elegantly evading a question as he did in this moment.

“It’s a great feeling to be in a room with so much love and so many great peers, and people that are fantastic,” he replied.
“I like seeing the new wave and the new generation here…I also like seeing everyone who’s been holding it down [for] decades plus.”
So, will today be the day we finally see an official appearance from one of young Hollywood’s most beloved couples? Only time will tell.
